ECOCONCRETE

The systematic development of a series of new eco-concrete types and mortar mixtures based on binder systems has started. By these, we are trying to replace portland cements, which production is currently one of the most significant sources of greenhouse gases. Waste but also qualified raw materials with different contents of water-extractable fractions are being used. Different levels of strength are achieved. With the right combination of raw materials, we are able to prepare materials that are heat-resistant and also health-friendly.

The basic series of samples has a potential of 50% -80% reduction of CO2 in the production of materials comparable to the traditional construction concretes and zero emissions for strength less demanding materials.

Products of such materials can be used to replace concrete in common building structures as well as elements of urban furniture, gardens and parks, pillars and bollards, railings, mobile and parking barriers or soundproof walls.

BETONEXT

Our attention has been focused on the development of new building materials in the BETONEXT project mainly due to the increase of greenhouse gases, causing an environmental change.

It represents the development of completely original ecological building materials, reminiscent of the ancient technological skills and evaluates the latest knowledge of the properties of natural and secondary raw materials. This is possible thanks to a special technology allowing a significant reduction in CO2 emissions, while maintaining the usual design parameters.

BETONEXT Production

The Brick Project

Practical results in the development of new building materials from the BETONEXT project allow us to further develop new proven know-how through the development project of the startup BETONEXT Production s.r.o. The subject of the solution is the use of waste brick construction debris (CSD), its recycling, processes of activation with suitable alkaline wastes and its subsequent return to building materials without heat treatment. The goal is the development of a recycled building element with a content of approximately 65% CSD and with minimal use of qualified raw materials in a volume of up to 10%.

Qualified estimates confirm significant savings in the energy intensity of technologies with positive impacts on reducing CO2 emissions. The project is focused on 3 types of CSD with different levels of purity and granulation. The successful solution of this project will bring another innovative technology to the process of recycling building materials and their use in construction practice. The project was successfully defended in 2023 in the competition to support the innovation program of the CZECH INVEST agency INCUBATION.
